About Roebuck

The triangle of land between Clonskeagh, Dundrum, and Mount Merrion that makes up Roebuck has been gradually absorbed into UCD's expanding Belfield campus since the university purchased its first estate here in 1933. Roebuck Castle — originally thirteenth-century, rebuilt in gothic revival style by the Westby family in 1856 — survives as a campus landmark. The residential streets that remain offer quiet suburban living within easy reach of both the university and Dundrum town centre.
