About Deansgrange

The name recalls the medieval grange that once occupied this land — the Dean of the local Augustinian monastery lent his title to the settlement. Deansgrange Cemetery, the largest in south Dublin, has been the final resting place for generations of local families since the nineteenth century. The residential area around it is quietly suburban, with good schools, a shopping precinct, and convenient access to both the coast and the N11 corridor.
