About Roebuck

The Roebuck townland spans the triangle between Clonskeagh, Dundrum, and Mount Merrion, with UCD's Belfield campus occupying much of the former estate lands. Roebuck Castle — thirteenth-century in origin, rebuilt in gothic revival style in 1856 — survives as a campus landmark. The residential streets that border the university offer quiet, established suburban living with the practical benefit of proximity to both UCD and Dundrum's shopping and Luas connections.
