Compliant Maps for
Irish Property

A Land Registry Compliant Map is a scaled map prepared to the standards required by Tailte Éireann (formerly the Property Registration Authority). It shows the precise boundaries of your property on an Ordnance Survey Ireland (OSI) base map, and is used to create or update the folio map associated with your property title.

You need a compliant map when selling a property that has no existing folio map, applying for first registration, subdividing land, resolving boundary disputes, or when your solicitor advises that the existing map on file is insufficient for your transaction.

A folio is the official Land Registry record for a property. It contains ownership details, the property description, and a filed plan (map) showing the property boundaries. Each registered property in Ireland has a unique folio number.

In most cases, no. We work from OSI mapping data, existing title documents, and satellite imagery. If a site visit is required for complex boundary cases, we will let you know in advance.

All prices include VAT, the OSI map licence fee, preparation of the compliant map, delivery by email (PDF) and by post (hard copy). There are no hidden fees.

Yes. All maps are prepared to current Tailte Éireann specifications by qualified Architectural Technologists. If for any reason a map is not accepted, we will revise it at no additional cost.
